Job summary

West End Dental Centre, part of the dentalcorp network, is hiring a Dental Assistant to prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and manage patient flow to support high-quality care.

Applicants must be registered or certified with a provincial body; NDAEB preferred. Competitive pay with 25–30 CAD/hour, with growth opportunities, education, and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• NDAEB is preferred.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Education

Provincial Dental Assistant certification

NDAEB preferred
