Job summary

Karis Disability Services in Saskatoon is seeking a Temporary Program Manager to oversee one or more disability services locations. You will promote person-centered supports, strengthen relationships, and ensure programs align with our mission and values.

You will lead staff, coordinate services, and drive growth and quality of life for supported individuals, while managing program operations on-site in the Saskatoon area.

Qualifications

• Valid Sask. Full Class 5 Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory Driver's Abstract.
• Three and a half years in developmental services and six months on the job.
• Three year Degree-Developmental Services Worker Diploma Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more Karis Disability Services locations and ensure program effectiveness.
• Promote service principles, person-centered supports, and holistic development.
• Implement organizational policy and create an environment for supported individuals and staff.
• Support Direct Support Professionals in meeting the needs of the people we serve.

Description

The Program Manager ensures the overall effectiveness of one or more Karis Disability Services locations. They seek to promote and model Karis Disability Services’ Service Principles by enhancing relationships, promoting citizenship, valuing people’s gifts, recognizing self-determination, encouraging growth and development, and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value. They implement organizational policy and establishes an environment for supported individuals and employees in keeping with Karis Disability Services Values, Vision, and Mission. The Program Manager is required to assist the Direct Support Professionals in meeting the needs of the people who use services, promoting growth and enhancing quality of life.
