Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) seeks a temporary Physical Education teacher for Herons Crossing School in Airdrie, AB. This full-time, 1.0 FTE position starts immediately and runs until November 2, 2026, with a chance of extension. The school serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 9.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. New graduates may submit practicum reports; external applicants must provide a reference letter on letterhead, dated within 18 months.

• New/Recent Graduates: in lieu of a reference letter, submit your final practicum report.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education atwww.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.
• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
