Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking a temporary full-time Elementary EAL/Literacy/Numeracy teacher for A.E. Bowers Elementary School in Airdrie, AB. The position runs immediately until October 6, 2026, with eligibility for Alberta Teaching Certification required.

Applicants may be new graduates submitting practicum reports. External applicants must provide a supervisor reference and a criminal record check within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• New graduates may submit practicum report instead of references.
• External applicants must provide a current reference from a supervisor written on company letterhead within past 18 months.
• Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.
• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report.
