Rocky View Schools is seeking a Temporary full-time Learning Support teacher for Elbow Valley Elementary School in Springbank, on the western edge of Calgary. The position begins immediately and runs until November 13, 2026, with a possibility of extension.

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a Temporaryfull-time (1.0 FTE) Learning Support teachingposition starting immediately until November 13, 2026 (with the possibility of extension) at Elbow Valley Elementary School.

The following qualifications are preferred for the Learning Support Teacher:

• Minimum 5 years classroom teacher experience
• 1-year educational background or experience in one of the following areas:
• Learning Supports
• Inclusive Education
• Special Education
• Disability Studies

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.
• The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.

• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.

• Applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.
