Job summary

Granum School, part of Livingstone Range School Division No 68, in Granum, Alberta, seeks a Temporary Part-Time Educational Assistant (0.4 FTE) to support learners in Kindergarten.

The successful candidate will provide 1-1 support in an inclusive classroom, collaborating with teachers and the Learning Support Team to help students reach their learning goals. Relevant EA or Health Care Aide certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group and inclusive classroom settings.
• Ability to build relationships with students and staff.
• Experience with diverse learning needs and physical challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a Learning Support Team.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
• Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language or Assistive Technology is an asset.

Responsibilities

Granum School

Granum School located in Granum, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta! Granum School is a K-9 school with approximately 50 students.

Granum School requires a Part-Time Educational Assistant (14 hours per week) (Tuesdays & Thursdays) to provide 1-1 child support primarily in the Kindergarten class. The successful candidate will provide assistance for children in an inclusive program to help meet the goals of the children's learning plan.

Desired Qualifications Include The Following

• Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs
