Job summary

Rocky View Schools is seeking a part-time French Immersion Learning Support teacher for A.E. Bowers Elementary School in Airdrie. Fluency in English and French is a requirement.

The position starts August 27, 2026 and serves grades K–5 with French Immersion grades K–6. Applicants must be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and have relevant classroom experience. Preference is given to candidates with at least five years of teaching in classrooms and background in Learning Supports,

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a part‑time (approx. 0.50 FTE) French Immersion Learning Support teaching position starting August 27, 2026 at A.E. Bowers Elementary School. Fluency in English and French is a requirement for this position. A.E. Bowers Elementary School is located in the City of Airdrie and serves students from grades K‑5 and French Immersion students from grades K‑6.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teacher contract with RVS.

The following qualifications are preferred for the Learning Support Teacher

• Minimum 5 years classroom teacher experience
• 1-year educational background or experience in one of the following areas:
  • Learning Supports
  • Inclusive Education
  • Special Education
  • Disability Studies

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
• The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
