Job summary

Backwoods Security Services is seeking Temporary Industrial Turnaround Security Guards to support several upcoming industrial turnaround and maintenance projects across Alberta. The assignment lasts about 2.5 months and starts as soon as possible.

Wage is $20.50 per hour with 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights). The work site is near Fort Saskatchewan, roughly 45 minutes from Edmonton. Must hold Alberta Security Services License, Class 5 license, CSTS, and First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security Services License.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean or acceptable driver's abstract.
• CSTS certification.
• Standard First Aid with CPR.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various industrial sites (up to 45 minutes from Edmonton).
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights).
• Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Professional attitude, dependability, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through regular patrols and monitoring of industrial facilities.
• Control access to site by verifying workers, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance systems and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
• Enforce site security policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and traffic control as required.
• Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Daily Occurrence Reports (DORs), Incident Reports (IRs).
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents.
• Inspect company vehicles and equipment, reporting maintenance requirements.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and fellow team members.
• Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
• Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Attend and successfully complete all required client and site orientations.

Temporary Industrial Turnaround Security Guards

Backwoods Security Services is currently hiring Temporary Security Guards to support several upcoming industrial turnaround and maintenance projects at various locations throughout Alberta. This role will start as soon as possible and last approximately 2.5 months.

These opportunities are ideal for security professionals who enjoy working in fast-paced industrial environments and are available for temporary assignments of varying durations. Successful candidates may be assigned to one or more turnaround projects based on operational requirements.

Wage: $20.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights available)
• Rotating schedules as required by the project
• Overtime may be available depending on operational needs

Work Locations:
An industrial facility located near Fort Saskatchewan. The project site is approximately 45 minutes outside of Edmonton .

Please Note:

• These are not camp positions .
• Successful candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from the assigned work site each day.
