Job summary

Backwoods Security Services in Edson, AB is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients through patrols and monitoring of premises, while ensuring strict access control.

The position requires an Alberta Security License and Standard First Aid Certification, with local candidates within one hour of Edson; wage is $18.00 per hour and the schedule follows a 7 nights on 7 nights off, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a Security Guard position (preferred).
• Valid Alberta Security License (required).
• Valid Standard First Aid Certification (required).
• Overtime work may be required.
• MUST BE LOCAL to Edson (within 1 hour).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment and access points.
• Access Control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary.
• Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR’s) and Incident Reports (IR’s) when required.
• Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Arrive on time for shift. If you know you will be unable to fulfill your duties, you must communicate with the on-call supervisor ahead of time.
• Able to work efficiently and effectively both as part of a team or individually.

Backwoods Security Services is currently seeking a Security Guard to work in a shelter setting in Edson, AB.(LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY - Must live within an hour of Edson, Alberta)

Wage: $18.00 / Hour

Shift: 7nights on 7 nights off (12 hour shifts)
