Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking team members to assist in the daily operations of our healthcare retail food service locations, including cafeterias, cafes, or line service. You will help with food preparation, station assembly, and restocking to ensure smooth service for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

This role requires strong English communication, adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail food service, customer service, or cashiering is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
• Excellent communication skills in English

Job description

Assist in the daily operations of our healthcare retail food service locations (cafeteria, cafe, or line service).

• Perform food preparation, station assembly, and restocking of food items and merchandise.
• Operate cash registers, handle payments, and deliver excellent customer service to hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, personal hygiene, and station cleanliness.
• Perform cleaning, dishwashing, and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures set by Compass Group and Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Previous experience in retail food service, customer service, or cashiering is an asset.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items as needed.

The hourly wage rate for this position is $18.55. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
