Qualifications

• Experience interviewing clients and assessing eligibility for benefits.
• Knowledge of Ontario Works Act and ODSP is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient data entry and documentation in SAMS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing client interviews to assess eligibility.
• Provide employment assistance and stability supports.
• Issue financial and employment assistance via SAMS.
• Communicate eligibility decisions and address issues.
• Make determinations on approval, denial, or changes to assistance.
• Maintain organized case files and complete required documentation.
• Participate in team activities to improve outcomes for clients.
• Engage in training to stay current on laws and policies.
• Collect data and support audit requirements.
• Refer clients to ODSP, CPP, and other resources.
• Offer information and referrals for budgeting, housing, food security.
