Schlegel Villages in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Temporary Food Services Manager for a long-term care setting. The role covers leadership of a large food services team, managing purchasing, menus, and dining experiences for residents, with start date in November 2026 and a temporary contract through March 2027.

Candidates should have extensive experience in large-scale food service, knowledge of related regulations, and be able to obtain required checks before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience with large quantity food preparation and purchasing.
• Experience leading a large team in a unionized environment.
• Familiarity with Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA, LTC Homes Act and OH&S Act.
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.).
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and TB screening prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support catering functions within the Village and manage purchasing.
• Lead and train the food service team, including payroll duties.
• Ensure adherence to Public Health and Ministry of Health/Long-Term Care standards.
• Maintain diet and nutritional requirements and enhance dining experience for residents.
