Southbridge Care Homes in Kemptville seeks a Food Service Manager to lead all dietary services in a long-term care home, ensuring high-quality meals and compliance with health standards. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage staff, budgets, menus, and resident satisfaction.

You have a CSNM or RD, post-secondary dietary management education, and at least two years in long-term care; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• CSNM membership or Registered Dietitian status is required.
• Post-secondary education in dietary management and completion of a recognized Food Services Program.
• Minimum 2 years dietary management experience in a long-term care setting.
• Member of a recognized Food Service Supervisor’s Association.
• Strong leadership to direct employees.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Experience managing employees within a unionized setting.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices and legislation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize and provide high-quality dietary services for residents of each facility.
• Apply continuous quality improvement principles to workflow, performance, production, and menus to meet requirements.
• Select, supervise and motivate dietary staff; ensure staff teamwork and productivity.
• Ensure the environment of all food preparation and storage areas meets Public Health requirements.
• Maintain records per policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, including regular and therapeutic menus.
• Liaise with residents, families, team members, government officials, and professionals regarding resident care needs.
• Participate in the budgeting process; responsible for the departmental budget and food costs.
