Job summary

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary Educational Assistant for St. Boniface School, Zurich, Ontario. The role supports student development, well-being, and inclusive learning, under the supervision of the Principal and SERT.

Responsibilities include assisting with academic, behavioural, safety, medical and physical needs, and collaborating on IEPs. Availability September 8, 2026 to October 9, 2026, 35 hours/week, $26.65/hour with 4% vacation pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year college diploma in Educational Support or related field.
• Experience in school/educational setting preferred.
• NCVI training and ability to handle sensitive issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational support in line with education legislation and school policies.
• Promote positive school climate and faith-based learning environment.
• Assist with inclusion of students in class activities.
• Support students with academic, behavioural, safety, medical and physical needs.
• Collaborate with SERT and classroom teacher on IEPs/behaviour plans.
• Assist with independence development and social/learning materials.
