Job summary

Sea to Sky School District No. 48 in British Columbia is seeking a temporary Custodian for Signal Hill Elementary. The assignment is immediate through December 18, 2026 or until the incumbent returns, with 8-hour days.

The work location is in the North District. Duties include general cleaning, moving furniture, changing lights, operating motorized cleaning equipment, handling chemicals, applying floor coatings, and maintaining building security.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops and up to and including three (3) months related experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• Relevant courses/workshops would be the Building Service Worker course.
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC safety regulations.

The following temporary position is open for applications:

CUSTODIAN

Location: District - North

Signal Hill Elementary

Temporary: Immediately to December 18, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first

Hours: 8 hours per day, 1 2 months per year

Pay: $30.47 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:
