Renfrew County District School Board is seeking a Temporary Educational Support Personnel for Herman Street Public School in Petawawa. The position is 100% FTE (35 hours per week) with a term from immediately to November 20, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.

A two-year college diploma in social services or equivalent is required, with duties including toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring and mobility assistance.

• Support students at Herman Street Public School, Petawawa during the term.

TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL

SCHOOL: Herman Street Public School, Petawawa

FTE: 100% (35 hours per week)

TERM: Immediately to November 20, 2026 (or the return of the incumbent)

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum two year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g. DSW, CYW, SSW), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the Board. (Transcripts may be requested to support relevant course detail.)

Applicants must have a proven ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of an Educational Support Personnel, including toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring, positioning and providing assistance with mobility.

Other relevant training that would be an asset:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder Training
• Behaviour Management Systems (BMS)
• Lifting training
• WHMIS certification
• Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS)
• Prior experience using computer supports and adaptive/assistive technology is an asset

Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement for the Educational Support Personnel and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
