Initial location anticipated at Ecole Puntledge Park Elementary. Strong computer, cataloguing, circulation, and student-support skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 education or equivalent and a formal library program diploma such as library technician.
• Experience in a school or public library is required or preferred.
• Proficiency with computer technology in a networked environment (word processing, database management, automated library systems).
• Strong knowledge of children’s literature and reference resources aligned to curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Perform cataloguing and circulation of library resources under supervision.
• Assist the Teacher Librarian in collection management and resource-based teaching units.
• Provide full library services to staff and students and manage access to the learning commons.
• Maintain inventory, supervise library facilities, and report lost or damaged materials.
• Support collaboration with staff and maintain a positive learning environment.
