The Good Spirit School Division is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Library Technician at Macdonald School. The role supports and assists in developing, organizing and maintaining the school library to promote student learning and well-being.

The Good Spirit School Division Invites applications for Temporary Part-Time Library Technician

Macdonald School

Library Technicians support and assist in the development, organization and maintenance of the school library. Library Technicians are valuable members of a team which collaborate to promote student learning, well-being and success.

Assignment And Term

• This position is a temporary part-time position of 6.0 hours alternating days in accordance with the Library Technician school calendar.
• The position commences November 2 and expires December 18, 2026. The work schedule will be scheduled by the Principal or designate. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

The Duties Of a Library Technician Are To

• Provide library services to students and staff.
• Operate and maintain the computer-base library system to circulate library materials, generate reports and complete inventory checks.
• Catalogue all library resources
• Organize, maintain and update all materials in the library collection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description:

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications

Salary and Benefits

• In accordance with CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement
• The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $21.53- $26.52 plus applicable vacation pay.
• Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
