Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Temporary Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative at our Edmonton cement plant to take and process cement and fly ash orders by phone, email, and other channels. You will coordinate with carriers to schedule deliveries and resolve delivery issues while fostering strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

This four‑month role is on-site with rotating shifts and a focus on accuracy, communication, and service excellence to support our customers

Qualifications

• Experience in administrative support, call center, inside sales, logistics, or shared inbox environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take and process customer orders via phone, email, and other communication channels accurately and professionally.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule and dispatch deliveries on-time, cost-efficiently, and accurately.
• Track, investigate, and resolve delivery-related issues, including customer complaints, late loads, and product discrepancies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams, including outside sales.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
