Line of Business: Other The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers while driving the growth and promotion of cement and fly ash products throughout Southern Alberta. This role combines technical expertise, business development, and customer service to support customers across the oil and gas, construction, and mining sectors.

Represent the company within industry associations, trade organizations, and the broader business community.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business with new customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving customer concerns and providing timely technical support and solutions.
Research market trends, monitor industry activity, and identify emerging opportunities, target markets, and potential customers.
Prepare and present pricing proposals, quotations, and supply agreements for both new and existing customers.
Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations to customers, industry stakeholders, and business partners.
Provide technical expertise on cement, fly ash, and cementitious products, including product performance, specifications, and applications.
Promote the use and benefits of cement and cement-based products across targeted industries and market segments.
Collaborate in the development of pricing strategies, sales objectives, and marketing initiatives to support business growth.
Administer the Fly Ash Quality Control Program, ensuring testing, documentation, and reporting remain compliant with applicable industry standards.
Support the planning and coordination of fly ash supply across the region to ensure consistent product availability and customer satisfaction.
Stay informed of industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs to provide innovative and effective technical solutions.
Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering, Construction Materials, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a technical role involving cement, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), concrete, or related construction materials.
Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including materials, specifications, and project requirements.
Demonstrated experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing technical support roles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or sales management tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and networking abilities.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Regular travel within the assigned territory to support customers and business objectives.

Competitive base salary ($111,670 - $139,595) and participation in our annual incentive plan.
