Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is hiring for Punch Press and Roll Forming Operator roles in Southern Ontario on a 12-hour shift, five days a week for a temporary contract. The position includes travel reimbursement, lodging support as required, and hotel accommodations when needed.

Pay is $35/hour before overtime, plus a daily meal allowance and other benefits. Responsibilities include operating and setting up punching/rolling equipment, inspecting parts, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating punch press or roll forming equipment.
• Lock out/tag out training preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Spot welding experience is an asset.
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry is an asset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent command of the English language (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate Punch Press or Roll Forming machines.
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications.
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary.
• Load coils and feed presses.
• Maintain housekeeping for a safe work environment.
