Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Punch Press Operators and Roll Form Operators for a project in Southern Ontario. The role requires 12-hour shifts, five days per week on assignment.

This is a temporary contract position, potentially not suitable for those already employed full-time. You will earn $35 per hour before overtime, plus a $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required, plus travel paid and hotel accommodations provided when needed.

Qualifications

• Punch Press Operator or Roll Form Operator experience (1 year preferred)
• Lock out tag out training (preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Spot Welding experience (an asset)
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset)
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Operate a Punch Press or Roll Forming machine
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines
• Inspect parts to specifications
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary
• Load coils and feed presses
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment
