Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is seeking experienced Punch Press and Roll Forming Operators for a temporary contract in Southern Ontario. The role requires 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project, with accommodations provided if needed.

The position offers $35 per hour before overtime, plus a $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance when lodging is required, travel benefits, and hotel accommodations as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Punch Press or Roll Forming machine.
• Ability to set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate Punch Press or Roll Forming equipment on assignment.
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications and adjust tooling as needed.
• Load coils and feed presses, ensuring safe operation.
• Maintain housekeeping for a safe work environment.

Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Punch Press Operators and Roll Forming Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

***Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time***

You will earn:

• $35 per hour before overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate a Punch Press or Roll Forming machine
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines
• Inspect parts to specifications
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary
• Ability to load coils and feed presses
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment

Skills & Qualifications:

• Punch Press Operator or Roll Form Operator Experience (1 year preferred)
• Lock out tag out training (preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Spot Welding experience (an asset)
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset)
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
