Job summary

COFOMO, a Montreal-based consulting firm with over 30 years of recognized expertise, is seeking a Telecom Infrastructure Specialist to join our hybrid team. You will design, implement, and manage complex telecom infrastructures for data centers, cloud environments, and business campuses.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in telecom infra, strong Cisco Meraki/Nexus experience, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in telecommunications infrastructure.
• University degree in computer science.
• Proficiency with Cisco Meraki MX/MS/MR, Nexus, vASA, routers and switches.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and GCP; VMware Cloud.
• Fluent in French and English for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and manage telecom infrastructures for data centers, business centers and cloud environments.
• Maintain telecom infrastructure and ensure its availability.
• Participate in large-scale infrastructure migration projects to the cloud.
• Develop and implement new on-premise and cloud solutions.
• Write, test and disseminate IT operation procedures.
• Conduct technological watch in telecom infrastructures.
• Advise technical specialists in telecom infrastructure.
• Provide last-level technical support for operational issues and infrastructure equipment.

Both strategic and tactical, we help organizations across a wide range of industries thrive in today’s rapidly evolving world.## Our promiseHelp our clients succeed and maximize the impact of their transformation initiatives, turning them into powerful drivers of growth and innovation.## Job description**Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll have :** • Plan, design and manage telecommunications infrastructures for data centers, business centers and cloud environments; • Maintain telecommunications infrastructure and ensure its availability; • Participate in large-scale infrastructure migration projects to the cloud; • Develop and implement new on-premise and cloud solutions; • Write, test and disseminate the procedures necessary for the proper functioning and exploitation of information technologies; • Conduct a technological watch in the field of telecommunications infrastructures; • Advise technical specialists in telecommunications infrastructure; • Provide last-level technical support for operational issues and infrastructure equipment. **The profile you are looking for is as follows:** • Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure; • Have a university degree in computer science; • Proficiency in Cisco Meraki MX, MS and MR technologies as well as Cisco Nexus, vASA, routers and switches; • Be familiar with BGP and OSPF routing protocols as well as Cisco Nexus 9000 Series and Cisco 6832X core switches; • Experience with AWS, Azure and GCP cloud environments as well as VMware Cloud; • Master VMware NSX-T, vRNI and vROps; • Know about 802.11ac Wave 2, Cisco WLC, and Meraki Wi-Fi high-density Wi-Fi networks; • Have knowledge of Check Point NGFW and Ivanti Secure Access; • Be proficient in Cisco ISE 3.x, including 802.1X, certificate management, and profiling; • Be familiar with CA Spectrum, DX NetOps, and Dynatrace monitoring tools; • Experience with automation and infrastructure tools as code, including Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps pipelines; • Master Infoblox for DHCP, DNS, IPAM and NTP services as well as DNS Made Easy; • Be familiar with F5 BIG-IP Load Balancer, including LTM and APM; • Have expertise in complex enterprise telecommunications infrastructures; • Demonstrate analytical thinking as well as structured and rigorous reasoning; • Demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness, dynamism and a great ability to adapt; • Strong communication skills and teamwork; • Demonstrate professionalism and a concern for a job well done; • Write documents in a clear and structured way; • Efficiently solve technical problems in emergency situations; • This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.
