Job summary

BAAC Construction in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Project Coordinator to support telecommunications construction projects. You will work with the Project Manager and field operations to keep schedules, locates, documentation, data, tracking, and reporting running smoothly behind the scenes.

The role suits someone with telecom construction background who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, growing company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in fibre or telecommunications construction in Alberta.
• Confident with locate processes and submitting/managing requests through Utility Safety Partners.
• Familiar with construction drawings, document control, and permitting processes.
• Comfortable coordinating directly with field personnel and operations.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and renew locate requests through Utility Safety Partners.
• Enter and maintain accurate project data, including production, locates, permits, and field records.
• Maintain project documentation and document control, including drawings, permits, contracts, RFIs, daily reports, and site photos.
• Update project schedules and trackers with field progress; prepare look-ahead reports.
• Coordinate with field personnel and operations; schedule meetings and log minutes.
• Support safety documentation and incident reporting.
