Intercept is an award-winning B2B marketing agency specializing in creating impactful digital content, creative, and campaigns that engage IT and business decision-makers.

We work with some of the largest enterprise technology companies in the world, including Microsoft, SAP, Intel, HP, Cisco, GitHub, and more, helping them connect with their target audiences in meaningful ways.

As a Certified Great Place to Work, we foster a collaborative and innovative environment where employees excel. With a fully remote workplace, we provide our team the flexibility they need to thrive both at home and at work.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Technology Platform & IT Specialist is a hybrid role that supports Intercept’s operational backbone and innovation agenda. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for leading the evaluation and enablement of new marketing and AI platforms across the business, and triaging core IT needs, maintaining agency security posture.

This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role ideal for someone with an IT foundation and a strong interest in emerging technology. From troubleshooting everyday tech challenges to introducing new tools that level up agency performance, this person will be the go‑to for all things platforms and systems.

As a member of Intercept’s AI Council, this role will help shape how the agency adopts and integrates new technologies, balancing innovation with security and operational excellence. It’s also a strong stepping stone to a future role in operations leadership or technical innovation management, with opportunities to grow into more strategic oversight as expertise deepens and impact scales.

Responsibilities
Platform Sourcing & Enablement
  • Research and recommend new marketing and AI platforms that align with agency needs
  • Evaluate platforms for security, compliance, and scalability before agency-wide adoption
  • Collect and maintain best practices, case studies, and partner pricing
  • Complete certifications and training in priority platforms
  • Lead internal training and upskilling sessions to support agency adoption
  • Maintain a centralized library of approved and evaluated tools
Implementation & Optimization
  • Review internal briefs and recommend the right‑fit tools for client and internal projects
  • Lead implementation and onboarding of selected platforms
  • Proactively identify and recommend optimizations to increase efficiency or impact
  • Support agency innovation initiatives by collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Intercept’s AI council
  • Support agency website updates and light troubleshooting in WordPress, ensuring smooth performance and up‑to‑date content.
IT Triage & Support
  • Triage first‑level IT issues (e.g., password resets, access issues, connectivity)
  • Monitor for security risks and support resolution with external partners (e.g., Microsoft)
  • Coordinate vendor support for specialized or escalated issues
  • Track hardware and software usage across the agency
  • Coordinate with internal teams or vendors for larger‑scale website issues beyond day‑to‑day WordPress updates.
  • Maintain visibility into the agency’s IT stack and risk posture
  • Maintain clear documentation of IT processes, resolutions, and system updates
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or marketing technology role (agency or creative environment a plus)
  • Background in IT systems, support, or security (formal training, certifications, or equivalent hands‑on experience all welcome)
  • Curiosity and demonstrated passion for exploring new tools, especially AI and martech
  • Strong communication and teaching skills; able to translate complex tools into approachable guidance
  • Comfortable leading conversations with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Experience with WordPress (content updates, troubleshooting, or light site maintenance) is an asset
Why Intercept?

  • Monthly telecommunications allowance towards use of your home internet and mobile phone.
  • Comprehensive dental and medical benefits plus a Health Care Spending Account.
  • Annual wellness fund.
  • Group RRSP fund-matching program eligible after 3 years in role.
