Job summary

Qualifications

• College diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved facility.
• Must possess Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, CAT S.
• Thorough knowledge of the SRM.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessing and organizing structural repairs.
• Coordinate with Planning to organize repairs with thresholds.
• Request Repair Drawings from Bombardier In Service Engineering and THD.
• Provide recommendations if Repair Drawings require amendments.
• Develop and maintain a damage tracking system.
• Hands-on support for structural repairs.
• Liaise with third party repair companies as needed.
• Review Bombardier Service Bulletins and implement as required.
• Contribute to Porter SMS by reporting hazards and incidents.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance YHZ, this position will provide support in the following areas below.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with assessing and organizing structural repairs
• Track and work with Planning in organizing structural repairs with repeat thresholds
• Work closely with Bombardier In Service Engineering and the Technical Help Desk in requesting Repair Drawings
• Provide recommendations to Bombardier ISE and THD should a Repair Drawings require an amendment
• Develop and maintain a damage tracking system that may be used as a quick reference guide
• Hands on assistance with structural repairs
• Liaise with third party structural repair companies should extra man-power be required
• Review all Bombardier Service Bulletins and other technical documents related to structures and implement as required
• Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
• Other duties as assigned
