Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join the MINI Calgary team. The role focuses on high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for luxury vehicles within a renowned automotive group.

The successful candidate will perform PDI checks, road tests, and collaborate with service advisors to ensure accurate estimates and customer satisfaction. Applicants should be certified or advanced apprentices with a passion for excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician Certification is required.
• 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with Import, European or Luxury vehicles is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment.
• Growth mindset and collaborative, respectful work style.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality workmanship, diagnostics and repairs per standards.
• Perform pre-delivery inspection (PDI) for new vehicles to factory standards.
• Report mechanical or safety deficiencies not listed on the repair order.
• Reference images/videos from customers/service advisor to identify repairs.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide service advisors with accurate parts and labor estimates.

PositionOverview

We are looking for anAutomotive Journeyman Techniciantojoin our team atMINI Calgary.The successful candidateis someonewho is passionate about the automotive industry andeager to contribute to our growing team.

PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities

• Maintaininga high quality of workmanship, diagnostics and maintenance repair as perrequired standards.
• Performingnew vehicle Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) to factory standards.
• Reportingall mechanical or safety related deficiencies not noted on the repairorder.
• Referringto images and/or videos provided by the customer or service advisor toassist in identifying repairs needed.
• Performingroad tests to identify issues and subsequently confirms repairs arecompleted to a satisfactory level.
• Providingservice advisors with a summary of additional maintenance and/or requiredwork that needs to be performed.
• Providingservice advisors with accurate parts and labour estimates throughutilizing our dealership software.
• Accuratelyrecording the cause and correction of the issue in our dealership softwareon customer repair orders.
• Completingthe Technician portion and related inspection forms.
• Maintainingand follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.

QualificationsRequired

• AutomotiveService Technician Trade certification. We would consider an outstanding3rd or 4th year Apprentice Technician with the right attitude and desireto learn.
• Experiencewith Import, European or Luxury vehicles is an asset.
• Youhave a valid Driver’s license and provide a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Abilityto carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
• Abilityto lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires, tools andequipment.
• Youhave a growth mindset and are continuously innovating and developing yourskills.
