Job summary

Birchwood Kia West is seeking a Licensed Red Seal Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, estimate time of service, and ensure first-time right repairs. You will use advanced diagnostic tools and maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle systems, while working with a fair dispatch system to optimize hours.

The role requires independent problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and a valid Class 5 license. Manages time effectively in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Technician Level 4+ applicants welcome.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

Job Summary:

The Technician, Licensed Red Seal plays an integral role at Birchwood Kia West achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction after the purchase of a vehicle. The successful candidate is will have the ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge, to estimate time of service and repair needed, and to diagnose and complete the required work right the first time. Using industry-leading technology, the Technician, Licensed Red Seal will diagnose repairs required on a wide range of vehicles. The successful candidate will enjoy fair work dispatch according to skill, ensuring you make the most of your hours at work.

Qualifications:

• Technician Level 4 and up are welcome to apply
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve independently
• Comfortable leveraging technology for most day to day repairs
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where optimal production is supported
• High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license & own transportation to and from work is required
