Birchwood, Manitoba’s largest automotive retailer, is seeking an Automotive Technician, Licensed Red Seal, to join our fast-paced service team in Steinbach. You will diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicles, estimate service times, and ensure repairs are completed right the first time using industry-leading diagnostic tools.

You will maintain current product and technical knowledge, thrive in a high-volume shop, and contribute to exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve independently.
• Comfortable leveraging technology for day-to-day repairs.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong production support.
• High attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.

Automotive Technician, Licensed Red Seal

Reporting Relationship:This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

Job Summary:

The Automotive Technician plays an integral role at Birchwood achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction after the purchase of a vehicle. The successful candidate is will have the ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge, to estimate time of service and repair needed, and to diagnose and complete the required work right the first time. Using industry-leading technology, the Automotive Technician will diagnose repairs required on a wide range of vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Technician Level 4 and up are welcome to apply
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve independently
• Comfortable leveraging technology for most day to day repairs
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where optimal production is supported
• High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, and a clear driver’s abstract
