Birchwood Hyundai in South Winnipeg (200 Lowson Crescent) seeks an Automotive Technician to help Birchwood achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction after vehicle purchase. You will diagnose and complete required work right the first time, estimate time of service, and use industry‑leading technology to diagnose repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

This position is supported by manufacturer training; technicians are compensated full wages for training completed outside the dealership.

Qualifications

• Level 4 apprentice or Red Seal status required.
• Strong electronic diagnostics skills.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Fixed Operation Manager.

Job Summary:

The state-of-the-art Lexus is located in South Winnipeg at 200 Lowson Crescent. The new stand‑alone, two‑story, 41,000-square-foot Lexus store has room for as many as 250 vehicles on‑site and brand‑new service installations.

The Automotive Technician plays an integral role in Birchwood achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction after the purchase of a vehicle. The successful candidate is will have the ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge, to estimate time of service and repair needed, and to diagnose and complete the required work right the first time. Using industry-leading technology, the Automotive Technician will diagnose repairs required on a wide range of vehicles.

This position is heavily supported by manufacturer training. Technicians are compensated full wages for training completed outside of the dealership.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will be a Level 4 apprentice or Red Seal
• Highly skilled in electronic diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve independently
• Comfortable leveraging technology for most day to day repairs
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment where optimal production is supported
• High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and own transportation to and from work is required
