Job summary

Sunnybrook in Toronto is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare surgical case carts for regular, specialized and emergency needs, and to operate decontamination and sterilization equipment.

This role requires a valid Sterile Supply Processing Certificate, instrumentation experience, and strong teamwork. You will ensure quality indicators are met and handle delivery/pick-up of supplies in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate required.
• Instrumentation experience essential.
• Previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC is essential.
• Applicants with previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC will be given priority.
• Broad knowledge of all surgical services and complex instrumentation.
• O.R. technical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to function as a team member as well as independently.
• Ability to work and problem solve in a fast-paced environment; proficient in case cart preparation.
• Competent computer skills.
