Harbour Air Aerospace Services Ltd. is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Quality Assurance team in Richmond, BC.

The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and controlling manuals and technical documents, requiring quick subject matter learning and clear communication of complex information. Qualifications

  • Diploma, Certificate or undergraduate degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs is essential.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex processes and information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and document control is essential.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and guidance material is an asset.
  • Previous experience with content and document management systems, specifically Web Manuals, is an asset.
  • Previous experience in aviation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and meet with SMEs to create documentation meeting regulatory and company requirements.
  • Update the company manuals, procedures, forms and other documentation as directed by the QRB.
  • Assist the Training Coordinator in developing and maintaining training materials.
  • Maintain all company documents in a secure location, including all aircraft files.
  • Ensure document revision control is maintained.
  • Maintain paper and digital documents for Maintenance and Flight Ops.
  • Acquire and monitor subscriptions and ensure accessibility.
  • Notify and incorporate updates and revisions as required.
  • Review and edit documentation as requested by team members.

Technical Writer

Your Role

As part of our Technical Writing team, you will use your strong organizational skills and writing ability to quickly learn new subject matter to create, maintain, and control our collection of company manuals and technical documents.

This role requires someone who can be adaptable without sacrificing value. You will be required to quickly acclimate and learn new subject matter to accurately communicate information into policies, procedures and manuals.

WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday on-site position (40 hours per week)

LOCATION: Richmond (YVR) – Vancouver South Terminal

TERM: Full-Time Regular

DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance

Duties And Responsibilities

  • As requested by various team members, review and edit documentation. This can include but is not limited to memos and other company communications
