Job summary

Trooh is seeking a technically savvy Technical Support Specialist to monitor, interrogate, and remotely remediate issues on our digital screens across the United States. You will use our CMS and remote access tools (TeamViewer/Remote Desktop/SSH) to ensure content deployment is successful and systems stay available.

Hours can vary from 9:00am to 8:00pm (Afternoon/Evening shift). You will provide IT support for field technicians, document problem-solving processes, and help prevent future issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; IT certifications such as A+, Server+, MCTS, CCNA are an asset.
  • 2-3 years of troubleshooting/technical support experience.
  • Windows OS troubleshooting and administration (desktop) — beyond GUI-level fixes: Event Viewer, Group Policy, services, remote administration.
  • Linux OS command-line experience, able to diagnose and fix issues independently.
  • PowerShell scripting ability.
  • Python scripting ability for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Beginner-to-intermediate SQL knowledge.
  • Advanced networking troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with digital screens / digital signage hardware.
  • Experience with self-hosted application tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Trooh's digital screen assets across the US and resolve technical issues remotely
  • Maintain online connectivity and operational status of Trooh’s digital assets.
  • Provide IT support for field technicians. You will need to remotely connect and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution. Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Perform desktop-level troubleshooting, including software/hardware installation and system configuration
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Test and evaluate emerging new technologies.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically savvy, solutions-oriented, and proactive Technical Support Specialist who will take ownership of monitoring, interrogating, and remotely remediating any issues related to digital screens across the United States. You will use our CMS and remote access applications (TeamViewer/Remote Desktop/SSH) to remediate all issues and proactively monitor and ensure successful deployment of digital content on our screens. You will handle any and all diagnostic and troubleshooting to ensure solutions remain available and operational.

The hours of work may vary from 9:00am to 8:00 pm. (Afternoon/Evening shift).

  • Linux OS command-line experience, able to diagnose and fix issues independently

  • Python scripting ability for automation and troubleshooting tasks
  • Beginner-to-intermediate SQL knowledge
  • Advanced networking troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple calls at one time
  • Experience working with digital screens / digital signage hardware
  • Experience with self-hosted application tools
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Pay Transparency
  • The expected salary range is $60,000 - 70,000, commensurate with experience.
