Technical Support Officer – Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Science Cluster

As a Technical Support Officer in the PBS Cluster, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring smooth delivery of practical sessions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support for lab classes, workshops, and events
  • Assisting academic staff in supervising students during practical sessions
  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials
  • Supporting lecturers with demonstrations and conducting trial runs
  • Ensuring laboratories are well-maintained, clean, and operational
  • Managing procurement and inventory of chemicals, consumables, and assets
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and coordinating with vendors for equipment repairs
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with QEHS and WSH standards
What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about pharmaceutical science and laboratory work. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or a related field
  • Practical experience operating pharmaceutical equipment
  • Strong foundational knowledge in pharmaceutical science
  • Up to 1 year of experience as a laboratory technician
  • A flexible and collaborative working attitude
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
