The Technical Support Administrator provides Systems Administrator level support for MB MOOVES (Moving Oversize and Overweight Vehicles Efficiently and Safely), Manitoba’s online permitting software, and other motor carrier related IT Systems. The Technical Support Administrator is the departmental expert on MB MOOVES, supporting internal and external users, training staff and carriers on how to use the system, helping to prioritize vendor support activities, and managing system upgrades.

Reporting to the Manager of Permit Services, the Technical Support Administrator helps build capacity, and foster and advance innovation, by supporting a wide variety of front-line information technology (IT) activities to staff working on motor carrier permits, safety and enforcement, including managing computer refresh activities, supporting the efficient use of IT tools through one-on-one and group training initiatives, and working directly with government IT staff and vendors.
