What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a second-tier resource for technical support and advanced troubleshooting of PACS, RIS, EHR, and related applications
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, security, and compliance of radiology IT systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and IT teams to optimize workflows and improve system utilization
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve escalated user-reported issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, support cases, known issues, and resolutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field – or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare IT support, ideally in a radiology setting
- Proficiency in supporting PACS, RIS, and EHR systems
- Strong understanding of DICOM and HL7 protocols and their application in healthcare environments
- Experience with Windows Server environments (2012–2022+), networking fundamentals, and SQL Server or Oracle databases
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Cisco) are a strong plus
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of cloud-based imaging and telemedicine technologies
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) preferred
- Fluency in multiple languages; French is a strong asset
