Job summary

A leading company in the tire industry is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to monitor and analyze product quality and performance data. In this role, you will provide technical support to Sales and Consumer Care, assist with quality evaluations, and develop training for dealers. The Technical Services Specialist is accountable for monitoring, summarizing and analysis of product quality and performance test data for both Toyo / Nitto and competitors tires, managing and maintaining the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) and Quality Evaluation (QE) program and providing technical support for sales and consumer care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the company.

  • Assist with quality evaluation
  • Provide detailed reporting on competitors new products
  • Report competitive tire and transportation industry trends
  • Recommend new products, sizes, patterns, changes etc. from analysis of national and regional needs
  • Provide accurate information to customers on correct fitment and applications of Toyo products
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints regarding Toyo products and performance
  • Assist with Quality Assurance Program (QAP)
  • Provide technical information and support to Sales and Marketing departments
  • Develop and provide training for dealers
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of reports and surveys
  • Assist with claim system operation and input of technical claims

  • Effectively analyze statistical data to determine trends
  • Answer technical questions and problems
  • Produce accurate written and oral reports
  • Provide training sessions in a classroom environment
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure effective and timely follow-up.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Customer service-oriented mindset, able to build professional relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to follow Company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Background / understanding of the tire market.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs safely and properly.
  • Background of tire mounting and balancing equipment would be an asset.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.Ability to write correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to internal and external customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
