Job summary

CBM Ready-Mix, part of VCNA, is seeking a Technical Services Representative for the GTA region in Ontario. This permanent full-time role involves on-site field testing, data recording, and promoting value-added concrete products for a range of projects.

The candidate will supervise material use and coordinate with 3rd party testing services to ensure quality. Requirements include CET or equivalent, basic Windows/Excel skills, a valid G license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and outdoor work

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel).
• Ability to perform physical tasks outside.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites, perform ongoing CSA & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing; record data and apply statistical QC procedures.
• Promote value-added products and collect market and job information.
• Supervise and plan for efficient use of materials, equipment and employees.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards or procedures.
• Review and supervise the work of 3rd party Concrete Testing Services.

CBM Ready-Mix is seeking a Technical Services Representative, based in the GTA Region.

This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.

Annual salary range: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 - depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Visit job sites, perform ongoing CSA & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Promote value-added products, collect market and job information.
• Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and employees.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or productions standards or procedures.
• Reviews and supervises the work of 3rd party Concrete Testing Services.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel).
• Ability to perform physical tasks outside.
• Construction field experience would be an asset.
• Valid G class license and ability to drive a pick-up truck
• Must have a clean drivers Abstract
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
