Job summary

Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, is seeking two Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support Canadian mining customers. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, perform equipment audits, coordinate service, and ensure operation aligns with Caterpillar OEM standards.

Ideal candidates are seasoned Heavy Equipment Technicians, Millwrights, Engineers or mining professionals with 5+ years of customer-facing experience and deep knowledge of shovel and

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Engineer, or equivalent mining equipment experience.
• Minimum 5 years of customer-facing experience in mining, heavy equipment or industrial operations.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Strong knowledge of shovels and drills.
• Caterpillar equipment experience is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, planning and time management abilities.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer reports and communicate opportunities to improve reliability and performance

• Identify potential equipment issues before failures occur and recommend corrective action

Position Overview

At Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar deal, we are looking for two experienced Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support our mining customers across Canada.

In this role you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for shovel and drill fleets, helping customer improve equipment reliability, availability, and performance. Working closely with mine team, you will perform equipment audits, provide technical recommendations, coordinate service support and ensure equipment operation and maintenance align with Caterpillar OEM standards.

If you are a seasoned Heavy Equipment Technician, Millwright, Engineer, or mining professional who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges and building strong customer relationships, we’d like to hear from you.

We anticipate the starting base salary for this position will be between $115 - $125k, with an addition of a short term incentive plan. Actual salary will be based on the candidate’s experience.

Important Notes

• This position may be based out of Edmonton, AB or British Columbia
• This position is on a 7x7 shift rotation
