Job summary

SECURE seeks a Technical Service Representative to coordinate, maintain and troubleshoot drilling fluids at customer sites across Alberta. This field-based role requires traveling to sites, maintaining a valid driver’s license, and performing on-site testing and reporting.

You will join a collaborative team that values safety, communication, and technical precision, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years oilfield rig experience preferred.
  • PET or Engineering degree required/preferred.
  • Capable of working with little supervision and troubleshooting drilling fluids.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Good driving record required.
  • All safety certifications – H2S, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Test the physical and chemical properties of drilling fluids.
  • Recommend maintenance of drilling fluids.
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory.
  • Coordinate drilling fluid supervision.
  • Communicate with rig crews and head office.
  • Report accurate well re-cap information and complete paperwork from on-site operations to invoicing.
  • On call with equipment and be responsible for company equipment.
  • Work safely at all times.

Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Technical Service Representative, you will be responsible for the coordination, maintenance and troubleshooting of drilling fluids and programs at customers' locations. SECURE’s Technical Service Representative (T.S.R.) is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the various physical and chemical properties imperative to a successful project.

This role is field-based throughout Alberta.

At SECURE, team members support one another while working toward shared goals—delivering reliable service to customers and continuously improving how we operate in the field.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role supporting drilling operations at customer sites, where safety, responsiveness, and technical precision are critical to successful well performance. Candidates must be comfortable working in field environments, traveling to site locations as required, and maintaining a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract and the ability to complete required pre‑employment testing.

A Day in The Life
  • Test the physical and chemical properties of drilling fluids
  • Recommend maintenance of drilling fluids
