Job summary

SECURE is seeking a Facility Operator at Turtleford, SK, to oversee day-to-day waste treatment, oil handling, and water injection operations. You will work on a 7-on/7-off 12-hour shift schedule, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality customer service in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include truck unloading, oil emulsion handling, waste processing, and compliance with HSMS. Training in boilers, pumps, and centrifuges is preferred, along with valid safety tickets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in operating waste processing and oil treating or water injection is asset.
• Training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is asset.
• Current and valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG).
• Must document work and communicate across shifts clearly.
• Must be able to multi-task and troubleshoot issues.
• Must demonstrate safe work practices and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate the day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Unload trucks, manage oil emulsion and water & vac trucks.
• Participate in waste processing, centrifuge operations, and solids treatment.
• Receive, store, and transport crude oil with compliance.
• Conduct solids treatment on the waste pad.
• Operate glycol boilers and perform inspections.
• Submit truck ticket summaries and daily plant checklists.
• Support Health & Safety Management System (HSMS).
• Ensure landfill criteria and solids testing are met.
• Perform general maintenance and keep the plant clean and safe.

Your Opportunity at SECURE

AsFacility Operator you are responsible for for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. Operators actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection, while keeping in constant contact with customers and demonstrating excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.

This position is based out of Turtleford, SK.

The team at our Turtleford facility takes pride in operating safely and efficiently. Team members take ownership of their work while demonstrating accountability, reliability, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Work Environment

The schedule for this position is structured as a 7-on / 7-off rotation of 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights.

A Day in The Life

• Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility
• Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion, and water & vac trucks
• Participating in waste processing, centrifuge operations, and solids treating
• Responsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage, and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance
• Conducting treatment of solids on the waste pad
• Conducting glycol boiler operations and inspections
• Submitting truck ticket summaries, daily plant checklists, and balances and transfers to the office
• Participates in the Health & Safety Management System(HSMS)
• Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)
• General maintenance; ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in operating waste processing and oil treating or water injection is considered an asset
• Training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is considered an asset
• Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG
• A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
• Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure clear communication with the rest of the team
• Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
• A valid and acceptable driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing
