About Voyis:

Voyis designs and manufactures high performance underwater optical sensors (lasers, cameras, lights) for subsea vehicles that expand capability and enhance understanding in underwater surveys and ocean exploration. Our products have enabled our customers to survey more than 10,000km of ocean floor across all 7 continents, helping people better understand those remote, challenging environments. Our underwater laser scanners, cameras and lights are proudly designed, engineered, and built in Waterloo, Canada. Voyis operates independently under ownership of Covelya Group.

What you’ll do:

In the role of Technical Sales Representative - Civil Infrastructureat Voyis, you will be the first point of contact for all our customers and partners in the Civil Infrastructure market vertical and will be the driving force in developing a solution to solve their inspection requirements using Voyis’ products and capabilities.

Responsibilities include communication with prospective customers to understand all project requirements and manage coordination with partner organizations or sales channels and internal stakeholders to effectively solve the customer’s inspection needs. Solving our customer’s challenges will require you to follow our internal sales process and generate proposals, presentations, or other collateral to effectively convey the solution on behalf of Voyis. In the Technical Sales Representative - Civil Infrastructure role, you will report to our Head of Market but will be responsible for developing a market strategy, identifying/engaging targeted accounts, and expanding revenue generated in the Civil Infrastructure industry.

The role includes working closely with the Voyis marketing and product teams for expanding on your industry strategy through supporting development of targeted marketing content, while also gathering a strong understanding of the product offering and how Voyis’ capabilities can support your customers. There is an element of international travel with the role to attend industry events and tradeshows on behalf of Voyis.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and works hard to deliver results, while fully taking ownership of managing Voyis’ growth in the Civil Infrastructure industry. Prior sales experience is not required for the role; however, we are looking for a candidate who is open to engaging in a collaborative, education-based sales approach with a reasonable technical foundation. We are a small team with loads of exciting opportunities, and everyone is encouraged to step outside of their defined role to help us achieve our goals together.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Become the central point of contact for all external stakeholders in the Civil Infrastructure industry, helping customers solve their inspection requirements with Voyis’ capabilities.
  • Develop and execute the industry’s sales strategy for Voyis in conjunction with Voyis’ sales, marketing and product team.
  • Identify and engage with the key industry targeted accounts and partners to expand sales growth in the market vertical.
  • Generate bespoke quotations, proposals, presentations, and other sales collateral to effectively educate and communicate how Voyis’ solution meets our customer’s project requirements.
  • Diligently maintain HubSpot CRM customer details and deal funnel for adequate sales forecasting.
  • Work closely with Voyis’ marketing to identify gaps in industry content, and to support creation of engaging market specific materials targeting the audience within the industry.
  • Travel internationally and domestically to attend industry events, trade shows, and visit customer facilities to build a strong presence in the market and to further strengthen customer/partner relationships.
  • Continuously engage with customers, post sale, to ensure the customer is satisfied with Voyis’ delivery and to identify expansion opportunities for repeat sales.
