Job summary

New Flyer, a leader in heavy-duty transit buses, is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to coordinate input and prepare proposals for New Flyer, MCI, and Alexander Dennis in response to sales opportunities.

You will work with the Technical Sales Team to define customer needs, act as the primary contact during bids, and guide a cross-functional team from strategy to post-submittal documentation. The role emphasizes costings, quotes, pricing, and contract changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's not specified; university degree in business or engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate input and prepare proposals for sales opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact with internal and external customers during bid stages.
• Guide functional departments from strategy to post-submittal documentation and pricing.
• Gather information for bid submissions and conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders.
• Prepare bid/proposal package elements and ensure timely submission within guidelines.
• Coordinate with Supply to complete costing and obtain quotes.
• Develop final pricing recommendations and obtain approvals according to policy.
• Prepare contract changes after initial bid and confirm final bus configuration for costing.
