Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Alberta is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on quarry equipment and plant systems. You will install, upgrade, and repair electrical and control systems, diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, and instrumentation, and support preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. Work may include time spent in an underground quarry environment with confined spaces, low-light conditions, uneven terrain, and the need to follow strict underground safety protocols.
