Job Description

The successful candidate will be trained to perform various electrophysiological tests on patients in a clinical/research environment. The candidate will also be responsible for performing administrative and office support activities associated with the neuromuscular lab.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and maintaining electronic and written reports required to document all procedures and tests results
  • Administrative filing, data entry, data quality, and control proofing, faxing, and logging various activities
  • Fielding telephone calls
  • Receiving patients and explaining the procedures of different testing
  • Performing other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal patient care
  • Observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications

At minimum completion of an undergraduate degree program Bachelors of Science (Biology and Physiology, NeuroSciences, Kinesiology,...) OR College Diploma in Electro-Neurodiagnostics

The candidate must demonstrate the ability:

  • to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting displaying flexibility and excellent communication skills are required
  • to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • to follow instructions carefully and communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner
  • to demonstrate good assessment, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong computer skills
  • physical demands including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment are sometimes required
