Technical Product Owner (1y Contract, Contact Center Transformation)
Our client, a major Canadian financial institution with a national presence and global reputation, is looking for a Technical Product Owner who's accountable for maximizing the value delivered by development teams through effective product strategy, backlog management, and stakeholder collaboration. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric product increments while ensuring alignment with with organizational goals and Agile best practices.
Term: 1-Year Contract
Location: Toronto, ON / London, ON / Montreal QC (hybrid)

What You'll Do
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and strategy
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Accept/reject deliverables based on quality standards and definitions of done
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to iterate and improve
Strategic Leadership
- Align product direction with broader business goals and customer needs
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the product team
- Ensure integration and alignment with other product lines and enterprise systems
- Act as a voice of the customer and market trends to influence development priorities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with business, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Manage dependencies and proactively mitigate delivery risks
- Facilitate communication across teams and ensure stakeholder expectations are met
Requirements
What You Bring
- 7-10+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5+ years in a Product Owner or Agile delivery role
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and enterprise Agile practices
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, lean methodologies, and digital product delivery
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field (graduate degree preferred)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification preferred
- Customer-centric mindset and strategic thinking
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
