About the Role

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) will be responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy for our software product, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather market feedback, identify new opportunities, and prioritize features that align with business objectives. This is a unique opportunity to lead the technical direction of our product and make a meaningful impact on our customers' experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the technical strategy for our software product, in collaboration with stakeholders from engineering, design, and marketing.
  • Gather market feedback through user research, surveys, and interviews to inform feature prioritization and roadmap development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, and sales) to gather requirements, conduct demos, and provide input on technical feasibility.
  • Prioritize features based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' pain points, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Work closely with the product leadership team to align the product roadmap with overall company goals and strategy.
  • Provide technical input and guidance to engineering teams on new feature development and technical debt prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (e.g. product requirements documents) and technical specifications for features and components.
  • Represent the product in industry forums, conferences, and online communities.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • 6+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering successful technical products that meet customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, and edge computing technologies.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

Additional Skills and Experience

  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science technologies.
  • Experience with edge computing.
  • Knowledge of containerization (e.g. Docker), DevOps, or cloud-based technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Certification in technical product management (TPM) or related field.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Slack, Confluence, SharePoint, and Copilot.
