Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a senior engineering strategy leader in Mississauga. You will shape and execute engineering strategies across sites, drive strategic initiatives, and oversee cross‑functional budget processes while mentoring teams and delivering training.

A long history in aerospace engineering and strong communication are essential for success. You will influence stakeholders, lead problem solving and Kaizen activities, and help optimize organizational effectiveness across Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Bombardier experience and BES knowledge with aerospace background.
• 20+ years of relevant aerospace and engineering experience.
• Excellent multitasking, presentation and communication skills; ability to influence without authority.

• Support the development and execution of engineering strategies across Bombardier sites.
• Plan and manage strategic engineering initiatives to meet business needs.
• Lead deployment of cross‑functional budget management processes and tools.
• Communicate priorities, influence stakeholders and promote collaboration.
• Benchmark and implement improvements, including AI-enabled solutions.
• Coach and mentor team members to support growth and capability.
• Develop and deliver training for engineering teams, including Fundamentals.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the development and execution of engineering strategies across Bombardier sites.
• Plan and manage strategic engineering initiatives that improve effectiveness and capacity to meet current and future business needs.
• Lead the deployment of cross-functional budget management processes and tools to improve consistency and efficiency across Engineering.
• Communicate priorities, influence stakeholders, promote collaboration, and support decision-making with Engineering Community leaders, Defense, Finance, HR, and suppliers.
• Benchmark, propose, and implement innovative improvements to organizational effectiveness, processes, and tools, including AI-enabled solutions.
• Coach and mentor Strategy, Governance and Engineering Skills Management team members to support growth and strengthen organizational capability.
• Develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer for engineering teams, including Engineering Essentials and Fundamentals Training.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering professionals and technologists, ensuring quality execution and continuous improvement.

How to thrive in this role?

• Bombardier experience and strong working knowledge of BES, with more than 20 years of relevant aerospace and engineering experience across varied assignments and projects.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent multitasking, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
• Hands-on experience leading problem-solving and Kaizen activities.
• Strong organization and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and balance strategic and detailed thinking.
