The Team
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate in the successful delivery of software products within Global Business Payments Technology, supporting Payment Modernization initiatives in the Wire Payment space.

- Facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping.
- Decompose solutions into small, independently buildable and testable stories.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to specify, engineer, and validate stories.
- Facilitate sessions with teams to detail acceptance criteria using practices such as specification by example.
- Lead root cause analysis of defects and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to review and accept completed stories and features.
- Define value and guide priority in collaboration with teams and business representatives.
- Track projects through each phase of the lifecycle.
- Coordinate with various teams for end-to-end project delivery.
- Ensure milestones are met and all approval gates are passed.
- Document project status and maintain information repositories.
- Maintain project risk trackers and communicate risks to management.
- Prepare work schedules, roadmaps, and capacity plans at the project level.
- Support application releases and rollout activities.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project status and obstacles.
- Set expectations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Articulate complex problems and solutions clearly and logically.
- Collaborate with senior engineering managers to remediate delivery risks.
- Engage stakeholders such as risk, legal, and audit teams as needed.
- Contribute to team productivity and morale.
- Support team members in challenging situations like resource or release challenges and cross-team communication.
Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary education in a technology-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
- Attention to detail in documents, requirements, and conversations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work independently and drive solutions with a small team.
- Technical understanding of cloud computing, REST APIs, and system integrations.
- Knowledge of ISO20022 standard.
- Previous experience in banking, especially payments, with knowledge of Swift/Fedwire.
- Customer-oriented with rapid learning ability.
- Experience with agile project delivery; Scrum Master certification is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in software development and automated testing best practices.
- Self-motivated and quality-driven.
- Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations, multitask, and manage multiple initiatives.
